What does "bring your own Stripe / Bird / AutoTrader" actually mean?
At signup we walk you through creating accounts on each service in your name. Your customer payments flow into your Stripe — not ours. Your SMS to customers go through your Bird — billed direct to you. We orchestrate; you own the billing relationship. This keeps SortedTrade out of FCA principal-vs-agent territory and keeps your margin tidy.
What's the 14-day trial cover?
Full Growth-plan access. No card required to start. We don't charge the setup fee until you commit to a paid month, and only one in three trialists end up paying — we'd rather you decide you don't need us than churn after a month.
How does the setup fee work?
£500 one-off, charged when you start your first paid month. Covers onboarding — we connect your accounts, migrate stock if you're coming from another DMS, and run a 1-hour walkthrough call with whoever's going to use it day-to-day.
Can I cancel?
Any month, via your billing dashboard. We don't pro-rate, but we don't lock you in either. On cancellation we keep your data for the regulator-required 6 years (FCA / HMRC), then it's deleted. Export everything in CSV + PDF at any time.
What about VAT-flat-rate dealers?
SortedTrade is designed around Margin Scheme — the default for second-hand vehicle dealers. We handle flat-rate too, but if you're not registered for VAT at all (under threshold), you'll just turn off the VAT module entirely.
Will my data live in the UK?
Yes. Supabase London region. Cloudflare R2 EU jurisdiction. Bird Amsterdam. Outbound message bodies mirrored to UK storage at send time. See the security overview for the full picture.
